The core module for this semester was Photographic Sequences and the brief was to produce a body of work comprising a series of images as either a book or a video.

My documentary work helps me make sense of my own life, and it seemed fitting for me to investigate other students’ experiences and journeys to higher education. All the participants studied in Cambridge, some at Cambridge University and others at Anglia Ruskin University.

Their stories are private and shared in their own words. This need for privacy is reflected in how I chose to construct the book, binding it myself in a hard cover, with a fold on the outside edge of the page which has been perforated for the viewer to split open and reveal the text inside.
